They Thought Taking His Shoes Off Was Bad Enough Then This Air France Passenger Turned It Up A Notch!

Anyone that has flown for long enough will be able to tell you that there are some weird things that happen on airplanes.

Most of them are harmless and really don’t get beyond the point of some complete stranger trying to show you pictures of their kids.

The closest I ever had to  weird moment on a plane happen in the days when they weren’t so picky about bringing food on planes. I was in for about a four or five hour flight cross country and before I got on the plane I bought about five cheeseburgers from the McDonald’s in the airport and brought them on the plane with me.

When it came time for the flight attendants to bring around the drinks and the snack boxes the guy in the seat next to me sees me pull out a bag of cheeseburgers and asks me if I planned on eating all of them. I said no and he bought two burgers from me instead of paying five bucks for some oatmeal bar.

That isn’t something that would bother anyone. The issue lies in flying when someone on the plane does something that makes life difficult while on the plane for at least one other person. Some people just do not understand that the plane is not their own private space.

A MALE passenger decided to make himself comfortable for a 12-hour flight by removing his socks and trousers before take off.

The unusual scene was captured by fellow traveler Lizzie Thompson, who was sat across the aisle from him on the Air France flight.

Before the Paris to Los Angeles flight took off, Lizzie first tweeted: “The man in the seat across from me has taken HIS PANTS OFF for the flight and is just in his boxers.

“Flight attendants seem unconcerned. This is going to be a long flight @AirFranceFR #CDG to #LAX”

She added: “He has also removed his socks.”

A number of pictures of the man showed him getting comfy with his bare feet on the floor, sitting in just his underwear and top.

Social media users were horrified by the brazen actions, with one remarking: “What is wrong with people!?! The world is NOT your living room!!”

The passenger’s odd behaviour didn’t end there however, as he then asked a fellow traveller who boarded with a ukulele to join him and play some music, but the other passenger declined.

Shortly after, Lizzie said: “Alerted the flight attendant. He offered to move me (which would mean losing my bulkhead legroom) but just shrugged when I suggested he ask the man to put his pants back on.”

Thankfully, the male passenger “fell asleep” two hours into the flight after taking four mini bottles of wine to drink.

Yet six hours into the flight, he seemed to get cold so decided to put on a puffer jacket– but kept his trousers and socks off.

After landing, Lizzie said the man put his clothes back on while in his seat: “Finally, his pants went back on. Good news: nothing bonds a group of passengers like a man half naked in your section. ”

She also thanked the flight attendant who “slipped me extra wine and did keep checking in to make sure I was good”.

The tweets have been shared thousands of times since they were shared on Twitter yesterday.

One popular question by many was what nationality he was, forcing Lizzie to explain he was neither “American or French”.

Many asked what the policy was for passengers keeping their clothes on.

One person tweeted: “Now I’m curious what the protocol is here. Why wasn’t he asked to put his pants back on?”

Another remarked: “What would they have done if you removed your pants?!?!? File an executive complaint with the airline and the FAA.”

One flight attendant commented on the Twitter thread, saying passengers on her airline must wear trousers but people with bare feet were very common.
