Taking a Knee Has Cost the NFL its Audience. NFL Could be Dying!

Even though Sunday and Monday games have usually held the public’s attention more so than the Thursday games, its getting painfully obvious the the NFL is losing its audience.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has even gone as far as forbidding the “take a knee” protests, the ratings and audience attendance was cripplingly low.

On paper, this game had everything that Dallas and Washington fan want. A big rivalry match up that fans of both sides love and no one took a knee in protest.

Unfortunately for the NFL, it looks like the audience is not willing to cut them any slack.

The lack of attendance was incredibly hard to ignore as made apparent in this tweet.

Deadline Hollywood made an attempt to take some of the heat off of the ratings by referring to them as “its best viewership of the sometimes ratings-challenged 2017 NFL season.” Clearly using the 10.7/18 rating result in the metered market.

Monday Night however, is at an all time low. Even President Trump could not ignore the 6.0 metered market rating.

Its clear the NFL has dug a hole for themselves. America’s patience with the NFL is waning.

And now there is a report that the NFL is contemplating using some of the money that was budgeted for breast caner and Salute to Service program and utilizing it for social justice programs.

After the major hit that the NFL has taken both ratings and attendance wise after all the protests and criticism, it is unlikely that they can take another.

If these reports are true, then the NFL is going to be in even more trouble than it already is.
