REPORT: Over 1,000 Have Fallen ILL After A Big Epidemic Breakout In California…STAY OUT!
I never go on cruises, and I never try to keep myself anywhere that I cannot get the heck out of there on a moment’s notice if need be.
The reason is, if too many people start coughing around you it’s only a matter of time before you start as well. Over 1,000 are sick after an epidemic break out in California. This is SCARY!
It has been reported by various news sites that nearly 1,000 students, teachers and staff in 32 schools in northern California’s Yolo County have contracted the gastrointestinal illness norovirus.
The county announced the big epidemic on Friday according to Yahoo and residents all over the state are freaking out.
They are encouraging all residents to take precautions to not only avoid, but to not spread the virus if they are contaminated. Dr. Ron Chapman, who is Yolo County’s Public Health Officer, released a statement urging all residents with any type of nausea, vomiting or stomach pain to stay in their homes up until 48 hours after the symptoms have subsided.
“Over 952 students, teachers and staff are sick with stomach cramps, vomiting and/or diarrhea in schools throughout Yolo County,” the county said in a press release, citing the findings of the Yolo County Health & Human Services Agency.
It was also released that the number of sick people is only continuing to rise. This is being considered a full on outbreak and is HIGHLY contagious.
The warning says that close contact with an infected person or even touching surfaces that they have touched can spread the virus. Residents are being urged to take this very seriously and do everything they can to disinfect and hopefully prevent further cases of the infection…
“The number of sick people is increasing every day at a very alarming rate,” the release continues. “The outbreak has been identified and confirmed by specimen testing to be the norovirus which is highly contagious. norovirus commonly spreads through touching surfaces contaminated with the virus, close contact with someone who is infected or eating contaminated food or drink.”
This is so crazy! If you know anyone here, call them ASAP!!!
