According to CBO, 1 in 5 illegal aliens will go on food stamps after amnesty. And which pathway is giving the most amnesty to these illegal aliens? The Dream Act!
The Dream Act is the most expansive amnesty being considered in Congress. This program could potentially give 3.25 million illegal aliens pathway to U.S. citizenship.
Approximately 2 million of those 3.25 million will immediately be eligible under DACA and the DREAM act reported the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) And just over a million of the 2 million will get green cards and be eligible for federal benefits, including food stamps.
Around 17.5% of Dreamers illegal aliens or 280,000 former illegals will be on food stamps by 2027 according to the CBO. 20,000 of those aliens will be immediately eligible for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) after they reach amnesty.
CBO also reported that under the Dream Act, taxpayers will spend approximately 2.3 billion just on food stamps alone for amnestied illegal aliens between 2018-2027, with more illegal aliens expected to join the welfare program.
DACA amnesty would be placed on top of the costs that taxpayers already pay for illegal immigration.
Breitbart reported, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) report reveals an illegal alien cost each American around $8, 075, a combined burden of $116 billion annually.
Researchers also reported that with FAIR said that the finding was both a“disturbing and unsustainable trend,” as these costs of illegal immigration have risen about $3 billion since 2013.
This study has challenged researched by libertarian thinkers and open border organizations which claim that illegal immigrants and amnesty are positive gains for taxpayers.
