Barack Obama must have been really good at hide and seek when he was a young boy because he tried to hide more than any President in recent memory. A Republican congressman is determined to not let Obama off the hook. He has demanded to a House panel to launch an investigation.
If they do, the investigation would be against the Obama administration in their interference in a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) against Hezbollah’s drug trafficking, money laundering, and and arms smuggling in Latin America. These lucrative activities led to the assurance of the Iran nuclear deal.
Project Cassandra, which is what the DEA called it was undermined by the Obama administration. It was trying to combat the Iranian nacro-terrorist proxy’s billion dollar criminal enterprise in Latin America.
This disturbing piece of news Representative Robert Pittenger who is the chairman of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare said in a statement:
“These revelations are shocking and infuriating. While American soldiers were bravely fighting ISIS [Islamic State] terrorists, with some paying the ultimate price, the Obama administration reportedly was protecting Hezbollah terrorists who were funding themselves by trafficking illegal drugs. No wonder President Obama couldn’t bring himself to call them Radical Islamist Terrorists.”
Pittenger went as far as to send a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy asking him to investigate the allegations in the report.
“The growing nexus between terrorist organizations and Latin American drug cartels poses a grave threat to our national security, especially considering the porous state of our southern border,”
The United States military has been for years, talking about the threat against the United States posed that these Hezbolah and Iranian linked operation. They were ignored by the Obama administration, instead they said instead that their influence was actually on the down slide. Then, a few months later, a nuclear deal was agreed to.
Shiite Hezbollah operatives are involved in various lucrative criminal activities in the Western Hemisphere, ranging from money laundering to massive cocaine trafficking primarily into Europe and the United States.
Politico reported what the Obama Administration and their sabotage:
“The campaign, dubbed Project Cassandra, was launched in 2008 after the Drug Enforcement Administration amassed evidence that Hezbollah had transformed itself from a Middle East-focused military and political organization into an international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities.”
Obama finally admitted to the use of sanction relief money that Iran used to fund Hezbollah, and The Jerusalem Post also talked about how Iran has increased the funding to the terrorist organization. A huge increase from $200 million to $800 million.
