You Know Who WORE This Dress, But Liberals Don’t Want You To Know Who DESIGNED IT!
I thought that the Trump bashing that occurred at the Grammys was an absolute abomination. Anyone worth their salt will stand with me as far as it goes to never watch that nonsense ever again.
However, despite all of that there were some shining beacons that prove to me that not all hope is lost when it comes to entertainers. There were several political statements made at the Grammys last night.
Katy Perry and Busta Rhymes headlined the Trump bashing, with Perry screeching, “No Hate” and Busta Rhymes calling President Donald Trump, “President Agent Orange.”
But one message stood out because according to the people behind it, it was a message of love. Singer Joy Villa’s pro-Trump dress went viral the minute she took off her cloak on the red carpet.
Villa was wearing a red, white and blue “Make America Great Again” dress with “Trump” written around the train. The dress was designed by Andre Soriano, a gay immigrant from the Philippines who had a very definite statement he wanted to make.
From Hollywood Reporter: “It’s more so about love,” he said of the red, white and blue gown. “We all live on this planet. I’ve never been in the political arena. However, it’s just so crazy that people are getting beat up because they voted for Trump, or this and that, someone wants to bomb the White House. I am an American, I moved here from the Philippines, and I highly believed in the trueness of what this country can bring. It’s about bringing people together, that’s the message.”
Soriano, a Trump supporter, became a naturalized citizen. He said he is a proud American and an example of the American dream.
He was discovered on the Bravo reality show, Styled to Rock, and launched his clothing line in 2013. He has dressed stars such as Macy Gray and Courtney Love.
While he has dressed others, Villa is a special muse. Soriano said, “We believe it’s time to promote love. We have one president now who is going to do the best thing for planet America.”
