What St Jude Hospital Just Revealed About Eric Trump Is Absolutely Amazing..
Donald Trump and his family are not nearly the terrifying ogres that the mainstream media makes them out to be. They’ve done more good than anyone really has the guts to give them credit for.
Nobody in this world needs more help and assistance than a sick child. That’s something that I think even a liberal could agree with. The folks at St Jude do work that there really isn’t a word to properly define how good it is.
As you know, due to conflicts of interest the Trump’s are being forced to stop participating in charities they are involved in or have founded. It’s a shame because they do raise a lot of money for great causes.
Take Donald Trump’s son Eric. He’s helped raise $16.3 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Tennessee over the past decade, a hospital official confirmed in a letter sent to a charity run by Mr. Trump, the president-elect’s son. St. Jude does wonderful work by offering FREE care for needy children. Again, what a shame.
Eric Lipton and Maggie Haberman at the NY Times report that the letter confirms an account Mr. Trump gave to reporters that his organization has raised more than $15 million for the hospital, despite available tax records showing that the Eric Trump Foundation raised less than half that amount. That’s because tax records can often be up to two years behind current amount of donations.
Mr. Trump’s announcement that he will remove his name from the organization is one of a series of steps that members of the Trump family are taking to address potential conflicts before the inauguration. Other steps include terminating planned Trump Organization projects in countries like Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia and Georgia.
Richard C. Shadyac Jr., president of the hospital’s fund-raising organization, wrote this in the letter, which Mr. Trump provided to The Times.
“I am amazed by the many ways that you have personally embraced our cause and cared for our children and families. As you are aware, we are expanding our lifesaving work and are working to push cure rates even higher in this country and around the world, while improving the lives of survivors by developing and advancing treatments that reduce side effects. We are only able to do this because of the support provided by donors and supporters like you.”
